This is Declan. One of the innocent babies who went to sleep and never woke. Painted Wings had a bitter sweet moment when we heard of the Vick family. We didn’t want another family to be going through the heartache we went through, but it was our first family we were able to support. We have met with Declan’s mom and dad and been the ear of support they needed. We listened as they shared their traumatic experience, and we shared ours of Laiken. Painted Wings sent the Vicks an Edible Arrangement as well as money so they could stay home from work and focus on their family and healing. We have become very close with the Vicks since we met. Being able to have a close relationship with someone who completely understands, and can relate to your pain, is again why Painted Wings was created. We do not want anyone to feel alone.
